It seems like open book 9 which I just updated from the FS website takes forever to process a page. I do have windows XP and a twain scanner. I put the setting on fastest to process, but still it takes forever and I actually move the arrow keys up to begin reading a document. I wonder if my computer is just wearing out; it is 4 years old. Any suggestions? I find this work flow feature is cumbersome too.

Was slow for a while now. Just wonder if there is a setting I need to look at too.
it may be your computer's hardware maybe then, i'd suggest running the standard tasks, defrag you hard drive, run CCleaner if you have it, try and get some of your computer's speed back as i t may help openbook as well
